Prepping the wing

Freshly prepared wing. Epoxy primed and ready to start covering process.

Anti-chafe tape is used to cover all sharp edges, to keep them from cutting through the cloth. It is about the same as first aid adhesive tape. Do not masking tape because it turns brown and will show through the paint!

The anti-chafe tape is coated with Poly-Brush so the paint will stick through the tape. Only the tape that covers metal needs to be painted because that is where the bond is needed.

Recovering is the perfect time to put new wires to the navigation lights.

I am using the "envelope" method. Cloth is sewn into a sleeve. I had to turn the sleeve inside out and slide it over the wing.
