Corrosion on aluminum fuel tanks. What to look for.

This tank was actually holding gasoline until we took it out and began to clean the surface. The tank was just seeping a little bit on the bottom.

Raised spots that show a separation of the aluminum layers

Discoloration that can't be cleaned up with a scotch pad

Needle pin type corrosion that leaves one tiny hole
